West Chop Lighthouse

The present 45-foot tall brick tower and dwelling were built in 1891. In 1976 West Chop Light became the last Martha's Vineyard lighthouse to be automated, but the original Fresnel lens is still in operation. The former lightkeeper's dwellings are now vacant but remains property of the U.S. Coast Guard and off limits to the public, but you can still visit the lighthouse and surrounding properties.

Historic William’s Street

The historic district encompasses all of the properties from Woodlawn Avenue in the north to Camp Street, extending about three houses south of the latter. There are only a few modern houses in this stretch, as well as an old schoolhouse. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Owen Park

Open to all, Owen Park is located just off Main Street, adjacent to the Steamship Authority Terminal right on Vineyard Haven's inner harbor. The waters are calm and warm, great for kids and families. The bandstand houses a weekly show featuring the Vineyard Haven Town Band, as well as musical acts for the First Friday events throughout the summer months.

Vineyard Haven Harbor

With sprawling water views rife with sailboats, schooners, and tall ships, to 100-year-old buildings where ships are built that are still in operation, there’s plenty to see in Vineyard Haven’s harbor.
